Some days are warm sunshine days. Today is a Black & white Sunday, in a black & white winter. It’t not good or bad; it just is.
With the onset of winter I naturally drift toward the B&W so I’ve been tuning (updating) my film simulation profiles in my Fuji cameras to give the look I want. Note that these simulations are like loading a film in my camera: they have a specific look, with grain and all, and I tend to set the camera to JPEG-only so its fixed in camera. After some exploration it came down to these two films for me:
Fuji Acros Push - based on the detailed, sharp Acros film, with a slightly more contrasty tweak to it.
Kodak Tri-X Grit - this one’s more gritty and has more of the beautiful grain especially in the blacks.
See below my recent snaps, hope you enjoy!
